What's in a Name?

On the relaunch in October 2013 we needed to change our name in order to avoid the website clashing with any existing commercial interests.

"The Walnut Club" was proposed and found favour with members since it alludes to the prostate gland, which is the source of our problems, and in a healthy state is most often described as "being about the size of a walnut".

Our logo of a walnut tree split into summer and winter images represents the prostate gland in its normal healthy state and a degraded condition, respectively.

Strangely, apparently some recent research suggests that eating walnuts may reduce the incidence and severity of prostate cancer!
