More Sex, Less Prostate Cancer?

The Perfect Excuse?

More sex: Prostate “benefit” for men

Sleeping with more than 20 women protects men against prostate cancer, a study has suggested.

Men who had slept with more than 20 women lowered their risk of developing the cancer by almost one third and were 19 per cent less likely to develop the most aggressive form.

The University of Montreal study said more intercourse may have a protective effect.

That article does not say over what period of time the treatment should be undertaken or whether the sex should be with or without protection, but surely here lies an opportunity to save a third of prostate deaths in the UK, or 3,000 lives a year, almost double the number killed in road accidents!

As prevention is cheaper than cure, maybe state funded treatment centres could be set up since their running costs would be lower than that of treating men who would otherwise become cancer victims.

Unfortunately, for members of The Walnut Club it is now too late to apply the treatment.
